Senior Technical Designer

Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Experience: 8 years

Overview:

Responsibilities include maintaining all block fits for the company. Keep up to date on current fit trends amongst our competitors’ product and advise the Executive team when updates to blocks would be relevant. Oversee weekly fittings to ensure adherence to established blocks. Must understand patternmaking and be able to make fit corrections based on live model fitting. Must also be able to communicate requested fit improvements to overseas vendors via email.

Job Requirements:

  • Establish and maintain block fits. Maintain brand fit and consistency.
  • Determine appropriate grade rules for company blocks. Accurately apply grade rules and make pattern corrections.
  • Resolve fit issues and communicate directly with factories to execute approved style, fit and construction.
  • Lead/direct fit sessions on live model w/ cross-functional teams (Design/Merchandising/Product Development) to evaluate garment fit, construction and styling details.
  • Control and adhere to company’s high quality standards by monitoring product details and specs throughout the product manufacturing process.
  • Research market trends as they pertain to fits and grades.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Product Development or specific technical trade school and/or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in men’s apparel product with a strong understanding of fit techniques and pattern making
  • Ability to prioritize workflow based on deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve, meet calendar deadlines, and communicate all issues to all necessary departments
  • Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions
  • Understanding of garment fit and how pattern alterations relate to fit.
  • Exceptional organizational skills a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full Circle, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred.

  • Experience in product development a plus

Public Relations Specialist

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Overview:

Responsibilities include providing content and posting for social media outlets. (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) Assist in creating copy or literature for website, media, etc. Research, contact, and work with Bloggers to increase brand image. Manage and work with celebrity endorsers. Help create and implement PR campaigns with the goal of enriching the company’s position within the public eye.

Job Requirements:

  • Posting on social media with direction from Marketing Manager. (I guess knowing what social media is should also be a requirement)
  • Manage/respond to followers on social media. Followers are people too.
  • Assist/write copy under the guidance of Marketing Manager for Website, Social Media, Blog, etc.
  • Research and Contact Bloggers in order to increase brand awareness and to create hype.
  • Manage and be point person for celebrities.
  • Somehow get George Clooney’s contact info. Just kidding. (But…)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or specific technical trade school, Hogwarts, etc. and/or equivalent

Events Coordinator

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Overview:

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and highly organized individual for the position of Tradeshow / Events Coordinator. This candidate will report directly to the Outside Events Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of all Trade Shows that TravisMathew attends
  • Manage the set-up, logistics and breakdown of all tradeshows
  • Conduct conference calls with vendors to work through all details and logistics of shows
  • Arranging travel and accommodations for event staff
  • Overseeing planning and execution of all aspects of tradeshow presence
  • Attending all tradeshows
  • Interacting with customers and educating them on the brand and the product while attending events to help build a loyal customer following
  • Coordinating communication between sales and marketing to ensure complete cohesiveness in brand presentation at each show
  • Preparing all necessary items for shipping to shows
