Job Summary:

The Sales Associate role is focused towards the Sales and Service experience for our guests.

We are actively seeking Retail Sales Associates with additional experience in merchandising and marketing to be an active part of the casual refined and social environment of the Travis Mathew retail division. The Sales Associate position is a sales and service focused player on the sales floor to set the tone for selling service and in store culture. We are looking for candidates who have extensive retail sales experience in addition to visual merchandising skills and/or retail marketing skills with proven track record.

Sales Associates should be approachable, focused, and playful in their approach to the social environment in the store, focusing around building relationships and making our guests lives better in their time they spend in our TM home.

Job Responsibilities:

  • It’s a party and everyone is invited. First and foremost, be a part of the team to create a friendly, open, and inviting environment for our guests to feel comfortable to hang out and have a good time.
  • Instill an approachable and efficient sales and service focus on the floor to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional service.
  • The selling philosophy should be focused around building relationships. This is about trying to make people’s lives better by providing items to complement and enhance their lifestyle. Connect with the clients on a personal level thru the love of the brand core metrics. Develop and retain a following of repeat clients to drive individual sales goals.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of apparel each season, including fit, fabric and intended use of the line. Understand and communicate performance and functionality on and off the course.
  • Participate in effective product and visual merchandising in the store to drive sales and create a positive customer experience that is easy to shop and outfit head to toe.
  • Participate in store event and CRM activities that are subliminal and focused to reward repeat business in a focused, efficient and approachable manner.
  • Be entrepreneurial in all aspects of retail from visual merchandising to sales generation to marketing and event coordination with big idea thinking.

Operational Excellence

  • A team player in POS selling and inventory management accuracy.
  • Honesty and integrity in all actions.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 of retail selling or client service experience in complementary environments.
  • Genuine love of the brand and TravisMathew culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal social skills are a must.
  • You will be required to stand for the majority of the workday; you will need to reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch as necessary. You will need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

TravisMathew Trademark Line Account Manager

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an established high end/specialty account salesperson to play an integral role in growing a new high end line (Trademark by TravisMathew). They would be responsible for pioneering our Trademark line into “core accounts” as well as major accounts throughout the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact their existing list of potential customers and present the Trademark line
  • Setup face to face meetings through cold calling and networking
  • Develop new target accounts through research and networking of additional distribution channels
  • Create a trackable business plan that will be followed up on monthly
  • Train Sales Representatives on product, key sales points, and how to overcome challenges with Trademark
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including daily sales calls, weekly work plans and follow-up activities
  • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Recommend changes in product mix, styling, and policy by evaluating feedback and competitive developments

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience with an existing list of specialty retailer and major accounts
  • Sales Manager, Account Manager or High level Sales representative experience required
  • Preferable but not required strong relationships with sales reps in this channel
  • Inherent ability in prospecting, negotiations and closing deals
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly self-motivated with strong self confidence

Corporate Sales Associate

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Overview:

The Corporate Sales Associate will utilize their existing network of clients and contacts to build sales of TM apparel and accessories to sell direct to corporations. Develop new business by industry segments through networking, researching and contacting the purchasing decision maker at each corporate target. Ultimate goal is to generate a book of corporate house accounts and event/tournament business

Essential Functions:

  • Contact their existing list of potential corporate clients and present the TM brand and corporate program
  • Research and contact new corporate targets and identify decision maker at each
  • Setup face-to-face meetings through cold calling and networking
  • Develop new target accounts through research and networking of additional distribution channels
  • Contact current accounts to build a database of qualified leads through referrals
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including daily sales calls, weekly work plans and follow-up activities
  • Assist with the logistics of all orders including securing account information, order, logo and embroidery approval and assurance of timely delivery of product
  • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction as well as maintaining the TM brand as the first choice on all event calendars
  • Recommend changes in product mix, styling, and policy by evaluating feedback and competitive developments
  • Assist to resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management

Graphic Design Intern

Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Rate: Unpaid; School Credit Only
Start Date: March 2015

Overview:

We are currently seeking an intern that displays creativity, innovation, and an eagerness to learn. As our graphic design intern, you will be assisting our graphic design and marketing department directly with anything such as catalog layouts, graphic t-shirt design, photo editing, business cards and much more.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be proficient in Creative Suite (illustrator, photoshop, indesign)
  • Must have personal laptop with Illustrator and Photoshop CS5
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethic
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work 15 – 25 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9am – 6pm

Required Qualifications:

Associate Product Developer

Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Experience: 2-3 Years
Rate: Up to $45,000
Start Date: April 2015

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include tracking and following sampling complete to a commercialized product. Development of materials & trims, initial prototype, fit, quality, and costs are met in accordance with the Company’s financial objectives. A major focus will be on building and maintaining accurate BOM’s, while communicating adjustments and corrections to overseas offices and suppliers, as well as be accountable to resolve issues, provide insight, feedback, and resolution to the Design team.

Job Requirements:

  • Communicate directly with factories to execute approved style, fit and construction.
  • Source materials & trims ensuring quality, factuality and price points are met.
  • Oversee product development; from proto stage to final production
  • Manage style pre-costing and analyze all subsequent prototype costing to ensure yield, material costs, and FOB’s are accurate and meet margin objectives.
  • Manage proto, sample, counter-sample and production approvals to ensure the company’s quality standards are met and deliveries are received on time.
  • Manage development process according to established company calendar.
  • Control and adhere to company’s high quality standards by monitoring product details and specs throughout the product manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or specific technical trade school and/or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in men’s apparel product development with a strong understanding of product engineering and manufacturing process and garment timelines
  • Ability to prioritize workflow based on deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve, meet calendar deadlines, and communicate all issues to all necessary departments
  • Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions
  • Understanding of garment fit and how pattern alterations relate to fit
  • Technical skills and knowledge to develop practical and cost effective solutions to unanticipated situations
  • Exceptional organizational skills a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full Circle, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
  • Travel to overseas factories may be required
  • Knowledge of PLM systems preferred
