Fish Back In Water

Mardy Fish has spent the last 18 months retired from professional tennis. Once a top-10 player and the highest-ranked American man, Fish had his promising career resurgence derailed by a heart condition. But lucky for us, and American tennis, retirement didn’t mean laying down his racquet. Fish has been maintaining an aggressive training regimen and is ready to compete at the highest level again.

We couldn’t imagine a better tournament for a member of Team TravisMathew than Indian Wells. Located in the heart of the Coachella Valley, you can’t really find a better location to hold a tennis tournament. You can spend March here watching the BNP Paribas Open then return in April for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Actually, you might just want to rent a house here for the next two months and commute back to Los Angeles whenever you need to.

Mardy has drawn fellow American Ryan Harrison in his first round and kicks off 3/12 at 3:00pm PST. It will be a familiar match as they spent the early part of the week practicing together and have know each other since Ryan was a kid. Best of luck out there Mardy!
