This week, Travis Mathew team members Chris Kirk, Peter Tomasulo and Kevin Chappell will be making their 2011 PGA Tour Debut at the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii. For Tomasulo, it will be a welcome trip back to the big stage since he last competed on the PGA Tour in 2008. For Kirk and Chappell, Thursday will mark the beginning of their first season on the PGA Tour and a realization of a dream come true.
Before leaving for Hawaii, Travis Mathew had a chance to talk with Kirk, Tomasulo and Chappell about what they’re thinking as they prepare to step up to the first tee on Thursday.

Kirk: I feel hungry and ready to go. After three years on the Nationwide Tour I’m very excited to get a chance to do some damage out here on the PGA Tour.

Tomasulo: I’m just stoked to be golfing fully healthy again after sitting at home with a broken foot. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited to start a season as this one. The combination of getting my tour card back, and having to sit out the last couple months with a broken foot has me really looking forward to this season, and starting it in Hawaii is a great place to start.

Chappell: “I will be excited, with just a little bit of nerves.”

Travis Mathew will be following all three team members as they compete for the first time in 2011. Stay tuned to travismathew.com and our twitter feed @travismathew for all of the updates.
