U.S. Open after hours

LOC Pinehurst reservations

It's been just over a month since the green jacket was awarded at the 2014 Masters. Now it's time for the greats to compete on what is known as the hardest tournament of the PGA Tour.

Whoever keeps par is a likely candidate to win as the U.S. Open courses have a history of being untamed. Those who dare to take on the notorious conditions of Pinehurst's No. 2 are sure to put on a show of the season. But the question on most people's minds is what to do after the battle royal. While many players will spend it with their families or coaches, we went ahead and gathered a list of best places to be when the sun goes down at the U.S. Open.

Best Restaurant: Elliot's on Lindon – With an award-winning chef and creative baristas, Elliot's is a dining experience that combines American bistro and farm-fresh cultures. If you're looking for a menu that can't go wrong, then this is your place. (We highly suggest the Lobster Gnocchi, Rabbit Pot Pie, and the Truffle Mac and Cheese.)

Best Pub/Gastropub: The Sly Fox - The menu at The Sly Fox continually evolves with the changing of the seasons and at the pleasure of their guests. The centerpiece of the food philosophy is modernized British classics with local brews to compliment every plate.

Best Club: Dugan's Pub - This is not a traditional night club, but let's face it, you're not the traditional bottle-service kind of guy. Dugan's is walking-distance from the resort, this is where the locals end the night.

This may not be a complete guide but then again we are not www.expedia.com.
