Overview:

The Direct to Consumer (DTC) Analyst will be part of a critical role at TravisMathew to ensure that we understand consumer demand trends and provide that feedback to the business leaders. The DTC analyst duties will range from pre-season planning and SKU plan development to buy planning and analysis with respect to each of the company’s product lines / collections for our E-Commerce and Retail divisions.  Through strong analytical and implementation methods, the DTC Analyst will help increase visibility of the revenue stream and corresponding inventory needs. The DTC Analyst will also help increase visibility of DTC demand and manage store inventory levels through strong analytical and replenishment methods to ensure optimal inventory positions. The DTC Analyst will also ensure that Special Make-Up (SMU) development generates an ROI and is well execute.

Essential Functions:

  • Be a key partner with the Retail VP and eCommerce Director to ensure stores / storefronts have the optimal inventory based on sales trend and assortment/merchandising strategy
  • Partner with marketing teams / merchandisers to understand the consumer and their purchasing habits and advise them on the success of specific campaigns and the impact of product on that success
  • Analyze web sales, retail sales, gross margin, inventory, sales mix, traffic patterns, conversion rates and other key metrics by channel and product
  • Develop, generate, analyze and report demand forecast for our DTC businesses
  • Reserve inventory through bulk order placement for eCommerce and Retail channels, including monitoring demand and appropriately adjusting bulk orders for inventory optimization
  • Conceptualize and develop trend analysis and product performance reports to assist in line planning, inventory management, markdown and purchasing exercises.
  • Track DTC marketing initiatives and understand their impact on inventory consumption
  • Mine data and develop excel based reports, metrics and analyses to identify and solve problems aimed at increasing sales in retail stores and on our website
  • Manage ad hoc projects as they occur
  • Effectively communicate results to management team                                                

Qualifications:

  • B.A degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, and seasonal buying in an E-Commerce and Retail environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including models, statistics, pivots and power query
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement new processes and improve existing processes.
  • Analyze and present data, and develop insights and future direction from hindsight analysis.
  • Strong understanding of the DTC business and market trend/insights to drive buying.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with highly developed analytical and numeric reasoning skills.
  • Experience in Full Circle and Retail Pro are preferred.
